This sign greets visitors across the street from the Pennsylvania Dutch Visitor's Center at Greenfield. Unfortunately, it's owned by that hotel that lost their Holiday Inn franchise, and I think they have bigger worries than the sign.

Hershey Bears
I took the girls to a Hershey Bears game the other night. It was a sold out game, but we got there early and I took some photos. Oh - the Bears won on a winning shot as time expired in overtime. There was literally no time left after the goal!

Venus
Here are some photos of Venus the other evening. Venus looks so close, but if the sun would be the size a bowling ball, Venus would be the size of a peppercorn about 19 yards away from the bowling ball. Earth would be another peppercorn 26 yards from the sun. It's amazing to me that this little peppercorn can see that little peppercorn out there hurtling through cold dark space.
This photo below has been my desktop background for a few days. I can't wait to replace it with spring flowers.
(Using the Bowling ball and Peppercorn model, the nearest star would be 3,000 MILES away! And that's just a local star in our Milky Way galaxy. The distance to the next nearest galaxy is almost unimaginable. Space is REALLY REALLY big.)

More cold days!
This morning it was cold, again, but I heard songbirds twittering and singing. They can feel the sun, and they know Spring is on the way! The usual winter bird sounds are the "Caw Caw" of crows or the honking of geese.
