PA Trail Running

Here are way too many photos of my little adventure on a half marathon trail run in Central Pennsylvania.

Arrived to an unexpected snow squall

The parking lot before it filled

Interstate 80 was shut down Westbound due to an accident, so the start was delayed

Inconvenient placement for a finishing chute

These trail runners are the real deal

Before we spread out it was quite irritating being stuck in single file

I had a woman pace me from the back, and she kept urging: "Pass on the left, now!"

This may have been my last smile of the day

I was in this train for quite some time

We were always going straight up a vertical mountain, or sliding down the other side.

The footing was always treacherous.

I think they dropped orange streamers from a helicopter, and that became the route

I was never passed by so many little old ladies with spikes on their shoes and gators covering their ankles, smiling.

The final assault.
This race beat me.
