Columbia PA Trailhead

The Columbia River Trail is quite nice.  At the moment some of it is gravel, but I believe eventually it will all be paved, making it more of a biking trail than a running trail.

Point Rock Tunnel near Columbia

Ruins from an anthracite-fired iron furnace.
A thriving industry in the mid to late 1800's.

At the foot of the Columbia/Wrightville bridge is a nice visitors center with restrooms.
It's a little dodgy walking across the tracks to the trail head.
