Baby Video

I follow a midwife on Instagram.  I know that might sound wierd, but she writes so real about the human condition.

She posted this little video today, and my word - it certainly shows why childbirth is such an amazing thing.  It's a wonder babies and mothers ever survive the ordeal!

Did you know that as the baby's head descends during labor and as its parent is pushing it out, the baby is hard at work hanging its position, bending it's neck, extending its chin, and twisting around to fit best? It's a joint effort between baby and parent for birth to be successful.
