Every Memorial Day I like to drive to Camp Hill and run in a friendly little community 5k fund raising race. It's a good time. Sometimes Von or Mandy goes along. This time Jody said he would, but then he couldn't get out of bed.
Since I was alone, I'll torture you with videos! Most of these aren't really worth watching. Here is just before the start.
This next video shows the runners during the first half mile.
The race goes through one of the staging areas of the Camp Hill Memorial Day parade.
This is Dorrie, the main race organizer. I like how she immediately posts the results!
This one is not worth watching. It's just me driving home on 283.

Just random images
Eggs with Hollandaise sauce. Mmmm.
City scene in Downtown Lancaster
Here is the recording from the Millersville University seismograph of the earthquake aftershock in China yesterday. Those little squiggly lines near the bottom represent 70,000 people's homes destroyed. We have a feed to this seismograph at the North Museum, and the public site is here.
And here is a picture taken by Phoenix, NASA's spacecraft that landed on Mars yesterday. I find it amazing and thrilling to see photos from the surface of other planets.

Carnage on the roads!
Today, while I was jogging, there were an extraordinary number of dead creatures on the road.
First, I came upon this opossum. Possums always look like their life is hard, and the final insult is to become road kill. This one was emitting a silent scream.
Next I went through the Nolt Road corner of squirrel death. I've seen at least a dozen squirrels on this road, including one I had to put out of its' misery, and another that was injured but got away. I'm convinced that in this area, natural selection will result in a breed of squirrels that has an aversion to roads.
This is the poor guy on Squirrel Death Corner.
Then I found another Opossum. This one seemed to be giving the ultimate "Ooof."
And finally, another squirrel on Marietta Pike. Was that a median rumble strip vibration, or a squirrel?
I've logged 88.21 miles jogging so far this month. I am shooting for 100, and it's not a gimmie that I'll achieve it.

Rhoda's Graduation
Here are some photos of Rhoda's graduation, and some of the festivities from the reception at our house afterwards. Keep checking back on this post because it will take me a while to get everything loaded.
Amazing Grace!

Wholesome Farms
Mark had a grand opening for his dairy farm this past weekend. Here are some photos.
His cows are Ayrshires. Here he is calling them in for milking. But the video is mainly cows!
