In the computer business, the details can really trip you up. In this 99% true story from Pixar, they almost lost Toy Story II, the movie, because their backup failed. Evidently their backup machines got too full so the back-ups stopped working, and since the machines were too full, the software didn't have the resources to send the automatic emails to notify the administrator of the error. And this was going on for quite some time, and only discovered after they needed the back-up.
This reminds me... there are some back-up routines I need to check.
