Subject: Leaving on a Nighthawk!!
It's already getting late but at least I got my truck cleaned out, Pulled all the dirty laundry out and gathered up everything from the access cab which I'll be needing on my trip toW.VA. Everything is laid out on my garage floor but no packing luggage has started yet!
It'll be a cinch once my laundry is done in an hour or so. Thanks to all who contributed, you know who you are, a tent from Marieson and a waterproof SONYcam from Paul. and the list goes on.
In fact I'd like now to thank all my family people and one or 2 from Enemyship community for the support to go on in this terribly frustrating, aggravating , humiliating (etc) past 3 to 4 weeks with no stinikin' job! Thanks to all those who hired me for making their houses look worse. It was the most helpful thing of all, just having small jobs and for helping me get out of bed in the am. Some days I thought I wish I could just sleep and never wake up or maybe this whole tragedy is just a bad dream. Thanks Mom and dad for the encouragement and sponsorship to take my trip tomorrow down to Charlotte NC. to visit (hey, who knew?) Joe Gibbs NASCAR Racing headquarters in Huntersville NC. Joe Gibbs is my most admired man behind Jesus and Dad!! His employees simply call him 'coach' because he coached the Redskins to 3 Superbowls I think. It would mean the world to me to shake the hand of Coach Gibbs or to greet any of his drivers or crew. NASCAR has this weekend off so maybe the whole JGR network will be there to meet and greet. Doubt it though because it will be Sunday when I arrive and probably chained up. That means I would return Monday. I'm camping for 2 nights in 'Wild and Wonderful' W.VA. last time maybe 4 years ago when I came to the first series of absolutely smooth, banked, wide curves ever I stopped, (put kickstand down), parked, got off Mr.Hawk and kneeled down and kissed the W VA. asphalt !! Those twisty mt. roads make riding 2000 times more fun then here.
Oh my laundry is done... I'll bring back a whole memory card full of pictures my bike!!!!!~! Sorry but the Hawkster is the one who wants to go I'll be along for the ride. Six months ago the Honda shop where I purchased my bike in 2003 and had it serviced there annually since told me my bike will not pass inspection unless I dumped 2 grand into it. SO, I googled a long established bike garage in New Holland and he passed my bike for $200. No one should EVER EVER trash talk a Honda! I called Chucki back at Ephrata Honda and took great joy in letting him know "You're fired Chuck"! I'll never step into his shop again, I have Dennis now in New Holland, a real bike guy who roots for the common man and isn't interested in selling me a new bike whatsoever.
So good night or day I'm signing off. Please remember to pray for our beloved Dwayne Harold Charles. He needs shoulder surgery and has been working hard for a month with a torn rotater cuff.
Daudi out.

It was the hottest 3 days I ever spent! Not helping was at stops the engine heat felt just like sitting on fire. The only way to cool off at all was to get off the bike rearrange payloads causing a full body sweat to happen in seconds. Then pulling out on 1-81 the air cooled me off for 4 seconds! This might sound like over the top but it was.
I left here Sat. am and made a beeline south for Charlotte. dad said 7 hrs but it was more like 12 hrs. Finally I got to 77 E where you go up then down a watershed and the scenery on the left equalled the escarpment in Africa! Trouble is it began raining enough to wet the oil on the roadway and it was one 60mph curve after the next. I was surrounded by idiots but I do respect the long haul truckers. I could only afford 3 glimpses of the escarpment because I needed full focus on staying alive. I could only look forward and into my rear view mirrors. You want to be the first to see brake lights in your lane and react fast.
So I finally get off my state park exit at 8:45 pm. It was dark my eyes were getting blurry. The park signs are ridiculously small and i must have asked 4 people where is the freekin' place. Well by then it was 10:30 pm and the park closed at 9 and I wanted was to REST. So I jumped back on 77 north and made my way from rest stop to rest stop heading home. I never did make Joe Gibbs and by 4 am I checked into a $40 a night motel. OH that was blessed!
Sunday I headed north again came upon a 10 mile back up on 81 near the Natural Bridge. The stopping and starting and balancing became unbearable so I jumped over into the left shoulder (where all the trash is) and made my way passing the whole mess in 3rd gear (slow). I stopped at the next exit , slammed down 2 Poweraides and back on bike (the good part) I puked right into my helmet! I didn't really care it was clean upable. But man then diarrhea started to attack me so I got off on a nice green boulevard and found another cheap hotel. They gave me a key card to swipe which failed so the maintenance man let me in (please let me in) it's 2000 degrees out here! I was so thankful for the rest but when I laid down I got severe cramps in my leg and hand muscles. That happens when dehydrated and having my legs stuck all day on the footpegs. Some of the cramps made me cry out in pain! Baby! Then it was diarrhea again and when I woke up I had a migraine and a sharp pain in my right ear! The phone rang and the voice alerted me "check out is 10 am". I finally got all packed again and threw the guy a few extra dollars for leaving late.
By now it's Monday so I took it easy heading back home past Harrisonburg. At 2pm my butt hurt so bad I took a back road and found a shady place to take a nap. That's until bugs started eating me alive which I should have let them do! Back onto bike and finally home at paradise Hayloft at 5pm. So all in all it turned out to be 3 days of interstate and never a chance for the mt. rds. By now I'm returning to 80 %, eating good food and drinking a ton of ice water! So Pinxe they are no pictures to show because I wasn't enjoying anything, sorry.
Well I say all this but in an epic way it was still mostly great fun for the first hour!!
By the way every trip down 81 I ever took past all the caverns and Skyline Drive the roads where swarmed with adventure motorbikes and Harleys. This trip I saw 4 other bikes at the most. Guess they were way smarter then me!
Had my 3rd house visit this afternoon, should know in a day or 2 when I start at long last!!!
Daudi home doing stinky laundry and catnapping.
